FACTORÍA is an initiative of the Asociación de Apoyo al Emprendimiento en las Industrias Culturales y Creativas (the Association of Support for Entrepreneurship in the Cultural and Creative Industries), a non-profit cultural association set up in Madrid by industry and cultural professionals. It is supported by more than thirty public and private organizations, all of them involved in these cultural and industrial sectors.

Partner Director and co-founder of YGBART, advice and arts management company, since January 2013. In 1980 Gómez-Baeza is appointed Programme Director at the newly created Madrid Trade Fair Organization (IFEMA) and later on Commercial Executive Director. Head of ARCO between 1986 and 2006, Founder and Director of 1st Art, Architecture and Landscape Biennial of the Canary Island (2005-2006), President of the Comtemporary Art Institute (2005-2008) and Founder Director of LABoral, Industrial Arts and Creation Centre of Asturias (2006-2011). Co-director of the University Extension Course on Audiovisual Culture Innovation, co-organised by Universitat Oberta de Cataluny and the University of Oviedo and member of the Council at UOC (International Institute for Postgraduates at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya) (2008-2011). Speaker at the Arts Management Post Graduates in Madrid, both at Universidad Complutense and Universidad Carlos III. She´s part of the Acquisitions Commission in the Community of Madrid.
Gómez-Baeza has been awarded the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts in 2009 and distinguished with various decorations including, among others, the Gran Cruz for Ibero-American Cooperation; the EU’s Distinction for European Excellence; the Cross of the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres awarded by the Government of the French Republic; Award for the International Projection of the City of Madrid, granted by the Madrid City Council; and Cross of the Commendatore della Stella Solidarietá Italiana, conceded by the President of the Italian Republic.

Partner Director and co-founder of YGBART, advice and arts management company, since 2012. Ybarra has developed her professional career during the last sixteen years at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, as Exhibitions Coordinator and responsible for Travelling Exhibitions (1995 – 2011), in which she´s worked on projects with museums, both national and international, and worked with well-known artists and curators from the contemporary arts world. She´s curated many exhibitions, wrote texts about art in exhibition catalogues and collaborated as arts critic for the Arts and Culture section of the newspaper El Correo Español, with articles and interviews.
In charge of coordinating the adaptation of the project to the technical needs of FACTORÍA and the development of the business model that will ensure economic sustainability to the project.
Director of Investments and Industrial Promotions (IPI & Conchita Group), first industrial promotion company in Madrid, specialised in key-in-hand projects, sectorial projects and development of entrepreneurship projects.
In charge of the daily management of FACTORÍA.
Degree in Arts History and undergraduate in Museology at Louvre School. She has developed her career in the management and cultural production both at a national and international scale; and in European Union projects coordination.
Among others, she has collaborated with AECI (Cultural Heritage Programme, Spanish Cooperation in Ibero-America; Empty, coordinator of the museographic project and production at Museo del Traje; Museum With No Frontiers, entity fund by the E.U. for international projects on cultural cooperation and heritage; at its Spanish subsidiary “Museo Sin Fronteras”, as production director of “Mudéjar Art”, from the international exhibition series “The Islamic Art in the Mediterranean”; National Heritage, as Chief of Cultural Action Service, Committee of Cultural Programmes, Palacio Real de Madrid; since 2011, collaborates in the production of Music Festivals in the city of Santander.
Degreee in Philosophy, Master Degree in Arts and Cultural Management and nowadays studying a Master Degree in Contemporary Philosophy, he has worked in the management of multimedia recording projects such as videogames, marketing and musical production in London. Mazarrasa has worked as communication and distribution assistant for violinist Ara Malikian and in the administration of Web Page Tregolam, linked to writers and publishing sector professionals.
Laura Martín Barahona
Degree in Business Management and Media at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos de Madrid. She has got experience at accounting, human resources and communication departments. Passionate about 2.0 marketing, SEO and social media, in Factoría she is in charge of managing administration aspects, allowing residents to enjoy all possibilities of the space.
Paula de Aguirre
Digital Marketing & Publicity
Degree in Media Studies at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and Master’s Degree in Interactive Marketing & New Media at IEBS, she has experience in musical marketing and events management at Instituto Cervantes New York. Also, she has worked as publicist for the independent film distribution company Film Movement. Besides, she usually works as a contributor writer for Spanish cultural magazines like Le Cool Madrid, Mi Petit Madrid and The Way Out Magazine.
Head of Academic Department
Degree in Labour Sciences, Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management and Master’s Degree in Educational Technologies and E-Learning. She has worked at training departments, both managing and coordinating educational projects, as well as designing and giving training itineraries. Passionate about new technologies applied to professional training.
In Factoría, she is in charge of coordinating the content for both training platforms for Factoría Cultural and EmprendeLibro, defining methodological and pedagogical aspects.
